We have every reason to be optimistic in this world. Tragedy is around, yes. Problems everywhere, yes. But ... you can't, you don't, build out of pessimism or cynicism. You look with optimism, work with faith, and things happen.
Do not despair. Do not give up. Look for the sunlight through the clouds. Opportunities will eventually open to you. do not let the prophets of gloom endanger your possibilities. Cultivate an attitude of happiness. Cultivate a spirit of optimism. Walk with faith, rejoicing in the beauties of nature, in the goodness of those you love, in the testimony which you carry in your heart concerning things divine. The Lord's plan is a plan of happiness. The way will be lighter, the worries will be fewer, the confrontations will be less difficult if we cultivate a spirit of happiness.
During the last week I had so much to be thankful for. My beautiful daughter, Tracy and granddaughter Zoe came to visit me leaving the rest of their family behind and we spent a fun and beautiful Thanksgiving week. I was so grateful to have them here. We had a great deal of fun even though the weather didn't cooperate at times and it was a bit on the chilly side.
Of course when you come to visit the first place we go to is the PCC. This is also the place where we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Junior and Almira Ah You and their beautiful family.
They do this every year. They cooked approximately 200 turkeys for the missionaries and homeless throughout Oahu.

After Thanksgiving dinner the fun begins with my family. We start by visiting island sites:
The Aquarium
Fish pictures not flowers:
One giant clam!
I am going to miss them!
And a few more flowers!!!
A WATERMELON TREE?
Not! A calabash tree.
